Last week I had the opportunity to spend three days with Lasse as he shared his insights on leadership and team performance during a Grundfos leadership retreat. He introduced us to the concept of “effortless efficiency” as in a state of mind where high performance becomes a natural flow. He described it as the place you arrive when hard training successfully creates high performance and yields results, be it sports or business. This state of being, referred to as “effortless efficiency” is much like that which we perceive when a professional athlete makes it look easy break an olympic record.

Lasse was the first Dane who embraced the challenge of coaching elite sports people on a serious level. He was also the pioneer who introduced methods such as visualisation, high performance, and proactive planning from the world of sports into the business world.
